(More customer reviews)I had recently purchased a pot full of various lettuce types and had hoped to grow a similar one of my own with this lettuce mix. I planted them, but nothing came up. It could have been the heat of the deck, but we water every day and the Mediterranean cucumbers came up great. Usually lettuce is easy to grow, but I guess that this type is a little more difficult or needs specific growing conditions.

Always sow lettuce in cool weather. If you are wondering why it's called Valentine Mix it is because all of the varieties are red or at least partly red. This packet contains Lolla Rossa, Marveille de Quatre Saisons, Redina, Red Oakleaf, Red Salad Bowl, Rouge d'Hilver and Rueben's Red.

Another difference between Pole and Bush tomatoes is that Bush tomatoes ripen quicker and all at the same time.

Shun Ken Onion Cleaver, 7-Inch Review

(More customer reviews)This is my third Shun knife and my second Ken Onion. They come quite literally sharper than a razor in that the edge lasts longer and it unbelievably sharp. I sharpen mine about once a month. Sending to Kershaw would take way too long. Blade is heavy and very thick, great for cutting through bone (which is why I bought it) but still sharp enough to slice through bits of skin. If you want the images to remain longer clean them with a gentle toothbrush or they will come off over time. Ergo handle very comfortable to use. Also have the 7" santoku knife with same handle. Look very attractive sitting on the counter and ready for action when needed. Love it!

MIU France Brushed Stainless Steel tomato Slicer Review

One of the cutting strips broke on first use and some of the others started to bend after a few uses. It is not a solid, strong slicer. The price did not justify returning it but I am not using it anymore and will look for a different tomato slicer.

(More customer reviews)If you are tired of placing a cut tomato in a plastic storage bag inside the refrigerator, whether in the crisper or not, and then, upon retrieving it, find it to be damp and soggy, ususally unusable, with this terrific product your problems are over.
Frankly, when I purchased it, I had my doubts as to its effectiveness. Yes, it was small and pretty in its tomato design, but I couldn't see how it would help keeping cut tomatoes fresh, even though the product is described as "air tight." I'm still not sure HOW it works, but I sure do know THAT it works. When I'm ready to reuse the tomato, it is just as though I had just placed it in the refrigerator.
So no more soggy, wet tomatoes for me! Glad to have found a solution.

(More customer reviews)I use to use the regular Lipton Onion soup mix for chip dip until I came across this a few years back. This is far and away the best for dip. The other was too salty and too strong. However, the Golden Onion is far less salty and more subtle. Lipton suggests using one packet for each pound of sour cream. However, I buy a 3 lb of Daisy sour cream at Walmart and mix two packets (2.6 oz's) into the container and it makes the best dip. I have literally caught guests dipping their fingers in it. I hope they never quite offering it. I like it best with big thick pretzels. It's also delicous with vegies too. My husband and I are active in the motorcycling community and and we like to entertain. People literally look forward to our gatherings because they know we'll have the dip. My husband tells our friends it's his "secret recipe".

It's quick and easy to use and it adds just the right flavor to everything! It's a flavorful au jus or a gravy enhancer. I haven't yet tried it as a soup, but I am sure that will be just as good as all the other uses I have tried.
