(More customer reviews)I stumbled across these food savers a few weeks ago, and thought I would give them a try. I have been absolutely amazed at their fresh-keeping qualities. I kept some sliced peppers for well over 2 weeks, just as fresh as the day they were sliced. I have had a bag of spinach in them for almost 2 weeks, and it looks as though I just took it out of the bag. I am now this product's biggest fan - in that my vegetables don't get slimy before I can get a chance to use them!!
My only reason for not giving the full five stars is that the packaging says they are easily dishwasher safe. I have not yet been able to figure out how to get the valve seal separated to allow the lid to go into the dishwasher - so I have washed the lids by hand.

(More customer reviews)This thing rocks! Works better than the expensive name brands. As far as bags are concerned, we use generics. We bought a ton at Cabela's on clearance and they work great. Your best bet would probably be to buy the roll type of bags and cut to fit. It will seal one end in a heartbeat and then you have a bag! We picked it up for 20 bucks at tuesday morning... I only looked here to see if they were as cheap so that we have a backup! I don't expect it to last forever. Our more expensive Foodsaver brand died. That's how we ended up with the George Foreman and it is great for what it is! I would definitely recommend it for the money. I saw the bad review before and thought this would be helpful. Happy sealing and bulk buying!!!

(More customer reviews)I purchased the small FridgeSmart medium and the small for use in our kitchen. We frequently buy items in bulk and need to wash and keep separate. The small container is perfect for grapes, lemons and other fruit. It is also ideal for oranges and brocolli crowns. This container when set properly will keep your fresh food fresh. It is also easy to clean. The only drawback was that the lid is somewhat difficult to apply. I also wish it had the valve settings like the medium one does. Overall, this container helps me in the kitchen.

I was tired of sealing and resealing the bag and reaching under my sink for the bag. Now, I keep it on my counter and just flip the lid and remove the tablets and snap it close. I have no doubt it would be great for food storage, also. Love it!

(More customer reviews)I must disagree with the previous reviewer. I have several of these in my pantry and they do the job quite well. They will take large diameter cans (such as 26 oz. tomato cans), regular size cans (i.e. vegetables) and family size cans (like the tall, 26 oz. Family size soup cans). Their biggest limitation is that they can accept ONLY those 3 can sizes because the can slots can only be created in 3 set widths. For that reason, I use not only this type of can storage, but also the "Cansolidator" also available on Amazon. The cansolidator cannot be used with the large 26 oz. tomato cans, but works beautifully for other cans, including tuna, small mushrooms, small evapo milk, as well as regular vegetable cans, etc. because the cans slot width is almost infinitely adjustable.
I love to cook so I try to maintain a fairly extensive pantry. The FIFO and Cansolidator products in combination have solved the problem of the cans that expired 5 years ago only being discovered when they've become a leaky science experiment somewhere in the back of the cupboard. With these organizers it's easy to see how much of each product you have as well as being assured that when you select a can, you're getting the oldest can.
One piece of advice about the FIFO storage: Decide which cans you want to use and pre-assemble the whole thing, then put it on your shelf. Adding additional pieces to it once it's already in place can certainly be done, but it's much more awkward than pre-assembling.

Copco 2555-1977 Can Dispenser Review

(More customer reviews)So we have a rather unusual refrigerator, every shelf slides in and out for easy access. While this may be a pleasant feature for some, we find it a bit irritating because there's a lip on the back of each shelf, which means they are not as deep as ordinary refrigerators. As such, we selected this can dispenser because its measurements fit our wonky fridge. Unfortunately, while I cannot accuse it of having inaccurate dimensions, I can share that the cans do not fit properly. In order to put them into and take them out of the dispenser, you have to pivot the cans diagonally. Plus it only holds 9 cans, which is one more than the number that would fit in the space it occupies. Hope this helps you decide before purchase!

The cover is a little hard to get shut and you almost feel like you are going to break it, but I found it easier if you push one corner down at a time. It is great the instructions even say that you can reuse the bags, which I haven't done yet but is a nice money saving idea. It is a great product and even better because of the price. Rival definitly lives up to its reputation.

I was charged 10.90 for shipping and handling (almost the same price as the product itself) and then had to pay .78 C.O.D. which meant an added trip to the post office. The Tupperware Apple and Grape Fruit Lockers are terrific. I used them, along with Tupperware's Rock N Serve Divided Dish, for my husband's lunches. They are a good size, not small. I peeled and sectioned two oranges for the apple locker and put mixed green and red grapes in the grape food locker. They kept the fruit safe from being crushed and he didn't have any leaks on the rest of his lunch. The apple is also great for cottage cheese or coleslaw and the grape container holds a big slice of pie. We have five sets of these and use them all. They are excellent for road trip snacks. He said he had never received as many comments before as he received on these. Men and women alike wanted to get them for themselves. Now that he is retired they still come in handy. We use them along with our Tupperware 3 Piece Impressions Bowl Set in Red and Green that holds a nice variety of snacks and, for beverages, we use the Tupperware Impressions Tumbler Set outside. Using unbreakable dinnerware, especially with grandchildren by the pool, is a good safety measure and, as a bonus, they look festive. ~ Mrs. B.

I've found they work best when the items are put in as dry as possible, so dry them thoroughly and dry off the condensed moisture that accumulates periodically. Strawberries keep for 2 to 3 weeks as fresh as on the day they were bought. Grapes and cherry tomatoes also keep well for 2 to 3 weeks. Lettuce also keeps much longer, as long as you can get it dried; if it isn't dry, it still turns mushy, but it takes longer than if it were just in a plastic bag. I also use Lock & Lock in the pantry for dried fruits and for crackers.

Cuisine Magic Rectangular Locking Glass Food Storage Containers Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered the 8 ounce glass containers for my kids lunch boxes, which came as a set of two. Unlike the previous reviewer, I detected no defects in the glass or in the snaps.
Before I placed them in my kids lunch boxes, I first tested them by placing water in them, turning them upside down and to my pleasant surprise, NO leaks.
What I wasn't happy about and why I give it only 3 stars is in the design of the lid, specifically the gasket. In washing the lid, I like to remove the gasket and clean separately. Reason being on account of the potential of bits of food/liquid to lodge between it and the plastic lid. In order to take the gasket out, requires a butter knife as the lip of the lid is only 5mm wide and too deep to get your fingers into.
After removing the gasket, I decided to try placing the lid back onto the container and guess what, it will not fit. So, if you ruin or lose the gasket-you may as well toss the lid out.
For me, this is more hassle than I think it's worth. However, I do think the glass is quality (like the glass found in Pyrex)and the lids too if you don't mind the fuss or concerned about ruining/losing the gasket. For those interested in the 8 ounce containers and curious about dimensions (approximates), they are as follows:
*Glass thickness: 5mm
*Depth: 1 3/8"
*Length: (interior): 4 5/16"
*Width (interior): 2 7/8"
*Height w/ lid on: 1 7/8"
