The seeds arrived in a small, plastic, zip-lock bag & I sowed some of them in a 12" pot along with white radish, white carrot & chamomille seeds. (The pot also contained 1 strawberry & 5 echinacea plants.) I have no idea how well this combination is going to do together, so we'll see. (I like to experiment!) I'll report back later.

Heirloom Red and Yellow Mini Pear Heirloom Tomato Seeds 40 Seeds Review

(More customer reviews)These were very easy to grow. I only planted half the seeds, but each one sprouted! I started them out in little Jiffy system plastic greenhouse in peat pellets and, following the seed packet directions, replanted them into deeper pots when they were a couple of inches tall, burying them up to the leaves. That was only last week and they've grown an inch or two and look very healthy with good leaves. The red tomato seeds are dyed red, so you can tell them from the yellow tomato seeds. These will get quite tall - over six feet if you let them - but the vines are not too heavy, so plan on some type of light support. I'll put these in the garden, but I imagine a large planter would also work. To me, these have a sweeter, deeper tomato flavor than the usual cherry & grape tomato varieties. Well worth your effort.

Container Tomato Seeds - Super Bush Review

(More customer reviews)I live in a small apartment with no deck, no patio, no backyard. I got a packet of these seeds as an experiment, to see if i could grow a small tomato plant in one of my sunny west-facing windows.
I planted a single seed in a single peat pellet. Within about 5 days it germinated, and it has grown rapidly ever since. It's thriving in the hot summer weather, and has already put out two flowers even in a 10-inch pot.
Update:
My tomato plant has reached to about 3' tall. It grew two lovely, reasonably large, delicious tomatoes. After i cut those down and ate them, it sprouted a new round of flowers, and now has two more tomatoes growing. It looks like, in a 10" pot, this plant can support two tomatoes at a time. In a bigger pot, i'm sure it would grow more (both times it flowered, there were over a dozen buds).

(More customer reviews)This kale has been great, although a little more bitter tasting than I anticipated. It is not for the faint hearted! Garden snails love it, but I just soak the leaves in a tub of water with a tsp. bleach and it kills them and their eggs. All the seeds were viable. I planted them in a more moist area of the garden, and also a sandy/dry area, and both places it did excellent. Greensmoothiegirl.com has some great recipes for using kale in smoothies, and the energy kale gives you is UNBELIEVABLE. Kale is a garden essential, it packs the most nutrition ever. And, now that we've had our first frost it is taking on more flavor. And it looks kind pretty.

This is an old variety from Australia, the pumpkins are good to store over winter, the skin is a blue grey with deep orange flesh. Excellent to eat as a vegetable (steam, roast, turn into soup, add to stirfry, curries). Plant in ground after last frost and cultivate as other pumpkins, ie plenty of room and feeding. If you only use these for carving you are missing out on a great tasting vegetable and wasting it! Have no idea about this company's seeds, but the pumpkin itself is a good eating pumpkin.

This is the Pea your Grandparents probably grew. There are 6 or 7 very sweet peas per pod. Peas like it cool so sow as soon as your soil can be worked. You can harvest 60 days after germination. I doubt many will never make it to the kitchen. Eating them fresh off the vine is a sublime experience. This packet plants a ten foot row.

(More customer reviews)I was looking for an early butternut squash to try out. Now it arrived as a dual packet and sure enough so it says but for some reason I didn't catch on to that. The problem with it being a dual item is we have only room for 1 to 2 plants at best and probably can not tell if the plants that come up are going to be butternut or the delicata? To use it does matter.
Otherwise I am glad to have found a shorter season winter squash and who knows perhaps if it turns out to be delicata we'll find we like it as much or more. Until then....I don't think mixed seeds are such a great idea. You'd sell more....plus I don't want to make my own hybrids.

These little darlin's were sent out the day AFTER I ordered them. Cudos to Renee Shepherd (AND USPS)! Now regarding the order: the packaging states that there are 25 seeds per packet, but by golly, there were 26 in there! (Now, I've had every kind of shipping oops and heartbreak you can think of since the onset of on-line shopping, but that extra little seed put a grin on my face. I can live with that!) They were nice healthy looking seeds, too...not those little, flat, useless ones. Here's to seeing how well they grow...
This was the perfect transaction and order. :-)

Sow these seeds where they will remain as cilantro resents transplanting and will bolt, go to seed much faster than it needs to. The fabulous taste of Cilantro leaves then turns into Coriander seeds. This is an easy seed for beginners and so tasty.

It could have been the heat of the deck, but we water every day and the Mediterranean cucumbers came up great. Usually lettuce is easy to grow, but I guess that this type is a little more difficult or needs specific growing conditions.
