Ragu Fresh & Simple Smooth Pasta Sauce, Traditional Tomato Basil, 13.5-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 6) Review

This is good sauce. The packaging is great, a pouch that stores easily upright and takes up little space in your cupboard. No bulky jars to take up space. The heating is also very convenient, just clip a corner and pop in microwave... couldn't be easier. Flavor is good, it's mild and easily doctored with a few spices.
What I didn't like about this is there isn't quite enough for one pound of cooked pasta. And that's how most pasta comes packaged, is in one pound packages. Two of these would be way too much. So, I found I needed to add a little bit more to the mix. Otherwise, really good stuff.

Very fresh tasting without the "metallic" taste of many of these pre-prepared sauces. It has as many uses as your imagination allows when thinking of a ragu paste. And it only takes a few minutes. Very recommendable.

As a BUSY mother of 4 I'm so thankful to have finally found a baby food that my kids LOVE! I used to buy the organic jar food at the grocery store, but by 8 months all my boys refused it and I had to find creative alternative finger food and that was tough since they were still so young. Now that I have tried Jack's Harvest side by side with the competition jar food I used to use, I know understand why my kids stopped eating baby food so early. There is no comparison. Jack's Harvest actually tastes like the fruit or vegetable while the competition was absolutely bland and tasteless. If you are interested in a healthy, organic start for your child, then the ONLY choice is Jack's Harvest!

Long Kow Crystal Noodle Soup- 6 Kinds of Mushrooms Review

Long Kow Crystal Noodle Soup- 6 Kinds of Mushrooms

I discovered these soups during a camping trip at the end of the summer and have been eating them for lunch on most week days. I love their taste and the portion size. They make for a rather affordable, tasty, filling lunch or snack with under 300 calories. I only wish the packaging was smaller (less wrapping to dispose of) and the soups were more readily available locally but I will survive by ordering them online... Give these little crystal gems a try and you may just find yourself hooked!

I use to use the regular Lipton Onion soup mix for chip dip until I came across this a few years back. This is far and away the best for dip. The other was too salty and too strong. However, the Golden Onion is far less salty and more subtle. Lipton suggests using one packet for each pound of sour cream. However, I buy a 3 lb of Daisy sour cream at Walmart and mix two packets (2.6 oz's) into the container and it makes the best dip. I have literally caught guests dipping their fingers in it. I hope they never quite offering it. I like it best with big thick pretzels. It's also delicous with vegies too. My husband and I are active in the motorcycling community and and we like to entertain. People literally look forward to our gatherings because they know we'll have the dip. My husband tells our friends it's his "secret recipe".

Campbell's Red & White Tomato Soup, 10.75-Ounce Cans (Pack of 48) Review

Campbell's Red and White Tomato Soup, 10.75-Ounce Cans (Pack of 48)
Average Reviews:

I've been eating a lot of soup lately as part of my diet. And I'm happy to say that this old childhood favorite is actually food. Unlike Campbells other soups you don't need an encyclopedia to understand what's in it. There's tomato puree, high fructose corn syrup, spices, salt and Ascorbic and Citric Acids.
No MSG. No hydrolyzed anything. Granted I am not a fan of corn syrup, but I'm giving them a break because it goes so good with crackers or a grilled cheese sandwich.
Still killer sodium levels but if you eat the whole can mixed with water it's only 225 calories.

This is the bigger badder brother of regular tomato soup. And Campbell's is the best brand of tomato bisque I've ever had. I like it because it's creamy, sharp, sweet and has chunks of tomato in it. I don't know what else to say except that I've had this ever since I was a kid and it tastes really great. If you want to dress it up you can add some cognac or croutons in it, but other than that, it's great as is.

Take some to work for bartering favors from co-workers! You'll probably be shocked when you taste this soup. No other canned or dried split pea soup tastes so close to a home-made, long-simmered soup. If you like split pea soup that's rich and thick, with just a bit of smoked ham flavor, you've got to try ours. We've added pea halves and a few bits of soft barley, to make it all the more hearty and satisfying. A tasty, High-fiber, no cholesterol, and protein treat.

Smithers Vegetarian Vegetable Broth Concentrate, 200-Count 0.33-Ounce Packet (Pack of 200) Review

i've been stuck in the hospital a lot this year and it's meant a lot of the clear liquid diet. This broth is what's getting me through. It's tasty all on its own. When i'm at home and I have to drink clear liquids, the other veggie broths don't have such a rich flavor and suddenly I feel deprived and miserable. So, I decided to get crazy and just spend the $50 on a truly delicious broth so I no longer have to suffer through cup after cup of blandness when i'm ill. I also plan to try it as a base for my potato leek soup and I bet it's hands down the best batch I've ever made. And it comes, already perfectly seasoned, in packet. So awesome.
p.s. It is on the salty side but I am generally not a salt lover and this is a good saltiness. I almost never salt anything. So if you hear it's salty...take it with a grain of salt. Yeah, I said it. (I'm in the hospital ordering tons of broth packets and writing lengthy reviews of my love for it, I needed that joke. Aah how I laughed.)
p.p.s. I think it's a little better if you add about 1.3 of the recommended amout per cup of water.

Average Reviews:

Am I the only idiot in the world who cannot remove the metal lid without making a huge mess? I normally end up wearing part of the soup, which I guess makes my meal even lower calorie.
Other than that, the soup is pretty decent. As with most low calorie soups, it's mostly broth with a few vegetables thrown in. It's not loaded with corn syrup, and water is listed twice in the first seven ingredients. It's filling, but the entire bowl counts as two servings. Yeah right. I barely eat anything, and not even I am buying that. Still, 100 calorie lunch is not bad.
To avoid the lid ordeal, buy yourself a thermos and fill it with soup. You can get two to three real lunch servings per can, save some money and not smell like soup for half of your workday. If you ask me, that's a win!
