(So is anise toast), so when I found a bunch of it at a local drug store for a buck a can, I was happily surprised, and brought home six cans. My husband loooooved it, and asked me to go back and buy all they have. And he is one picky eater. Why is the good stuff so hard to find?

(More customer reviews)I thought it was very bland tasting and added some spices and a little sour cream to perk it up. Due to Wolfgang's reputation, I was surprised I had to add anything to it. The only reason I would buy it again is that I have not found another organic mushroom soup and I'm too time constrained to make my own. Also I applaud this company for having coventional and organic soups at the same price point.

Instant soups are also a great flavor maker for your own soup creations. I use one cup of instant soup as a flavorful broth or base to add to a double soup made from beans [Westbrae beans are great!] and fresh veggies. Use your imagination and enjoy. Easy and fun. Prepare the instant soup and then add to the simmering or pre-cooked bigger pot containing the other ingredients. Heat together, stir, and serve. 140 calories, 8g protein, and 590mg sodium per cup. When preparing the cup of soup, it is important to let it stand re-covered as recommended for 5+ minutes and stir well. Nice vegan "top up" for those not yet on Amazon Prime and might need another item to qualify for Super Saver Shipping. (More customer reviews)The soup is very rich, and has a paste-like texture. It has an overpowering taste of "roasted" flavor, which really is the transforming element that prevents it from being another tomato soup. It's quite hearty and can be used for quick small meals.
I have mistaken this one for the 30oz package, which is often the standard size found in stores. I just want to remind you that it is the smaller size, while it looks almost identical in photos. That is especially important if you want to compare prices.

Bought a case and ended up not liking it at all. It just seems to have a horrible taste -no vegetable or beef flavor at all. So if you happen to try this one FIRST, don't use it as an example......it's just a matter of personal taste because the Chicken Noodle is a 10-star soup!!

(More customer reviews)Unlike the "Soup at Hand" product line, making this a single serving hasn't reduced the taste or appearance of the product at all. This is pretty much true of all the single serving Campbell's soups in this size, which is called a "Soup Bowl". Originally, these bowls were smaller, more on the order of 10 or 12 ounces. At 15 ounces, this is a bit more than a single serving, at least for me. I would like it a bit smaller. I would also like to see more products sold this way; for example, Cream of Mushroom and Bean with Bacon would both be on my favorites list.

My only complaint is that I think the sodium content is a little high, therefore I make sure to use plenty of liquid with whatever I am adding this to so that it's not too salty. I wish Rapunzel offered this broth product in a jar with lower sodium. I use other Rapunzel products, they are always top-notch.

(More customer reviews)This soup has a nice zesty flavor, very tasty for a (slightly) lower sodium soup. It just doesn't have enough of the vegetables pictured on the label. There might be two or three spoonfuls in the entire package. This might be a good soup to have with something else (sandwich or salad) or as a snack, but it's not enough food to be a meal on its own.
I also have a problem with this being labeled as having two servings. Really?? Who is going to eat half of this container? Campbell's: label it as one serving. The entire package is only 100 calories - why do you need to play labeling games? I'm guessing it's to try to hide the true sodium number (which is better than some soups, but still high when you consider most people WILL eat the entire package contents) You're not fooling us. We *can* multiply by 2.

TIP: Instructions recommend letting the soup sit for 5 minutes before eating. I suggest 10 is better if you want the noodles and veggies to be soft. Aldente'... go with 5 minutes. Expect that either way you'll be having HOT soup and the mealtime from the time you mix it until you finish eating it may be as long as 30 minutes.
I like the flavor of this soup and the spiral noodles are fun. For me the taste gets better with the addition of a sprinkle or two of seasoning salt. Served with your favorite crackers, this is a fast, tasty meal for lunch or snack.
NOTE: My second favorite flavor of the Nile Spice Soups is their Minestrone (strong tomato flavor) followed by the Lentil. All of the soups benefit from sitting a bit longer than the recommended time for best flavor development.

(More customer reviews)...virus and flu have been rampant here since the SPRING. The homefront grew tired of the old Chicken Noodle Soup standby. I needed something I could use to add fresh or frozen veggies and leftovers to make something quick and nutritious. This also is great for making soup from "almost" scratch. It's good as a veggie broth. It really comes in handy to cook rice instead of using salt for flavoring.
Although a good product the pricing makes a BIG difference,I got it for 26 bucks.
I only gave it 4 STARS due to it's high sodium content, it is a bit salty - 1 teaspoon = 41% of your DAILY salt intake. The two pack will hold me over for awhile.

(More customer reviews)Am I the only idiot in the world who cannot remove the metal lid without making a huge mess? I normally end up wearing part of the soup, which I guess makes my meal even lower calorie.
Other than that, the soup is pretty decent. As with most low calorie soups, it's mostly broth with a few vegetables thrown in. It's not loaded with corn syrup, and water is listed twice in the first seven ingredients. It's filling, but the entire bowl counts as two servings. Yeah right. I barely eat anything, and not even I am buying that. Still, 100 calorie lunch is not bad.
To avoid the lid ordeal, buy yourself a thermos and fill it with soup. You can get two to three real lunch servings per can, save some money and not smell like soup for half of your workday. If you ask me, that's a win!
