(More customer reviews)I ordered the 8 ounce glass containers for my kids lunch boxes, which came as a set of two. Unlike the previous reviewer, I detected no defects in the glass or in the snaps.
Before I placed them in my kids lunch boxes, I first tested them by placing water in them, turning them upside down and to my pleasant surprise, NO leaks.
What I wasn't happy about and why I give it only 3 stars is in the design of the lid, specifically the gasket. In washing the lid, I like to remove the gasket and clean separately. Reason being on account of the potential of bits of food/liquid to lodge between it and the plastic lid. In order to take the gasket out, requires a butter knife as the lip of the lid is only 5mm wide and too deep to get your fingers into.
After removing the gasket, I decided to try placing the lid back onto the container and guess what, it will not fit. So, if you ruin or lose the gasket-you may as well toss the lid out.
For me, this is more hassle than I think it's worth. However, I do think the glass is quality (like the glass found in Pyrex)and the lids too if you don't mind the fuss or concerned about ruining/losing the gasket. For those interested in the 8 ounce containers and curious about dimensions (approximates), they are as follows:
*Glass thickness: 5mm

*Height w/ lid on: 1 7/8"

Itzy Ritzy Eco-Friendly Reusable Snack Bag Review

(More customer reviews)I got 4 of these bags and am very happy. I specifically got these bags because they have a zipper, I'm not a fan of velcro. I don't have to worry about anything falling out when I toss these around. My toddler can get into these quite easily which makes us both happy. We have put quite a few things into these. One bag is devoted to trail mix and it lives in my purse. Another is for fresh apples (they leave a permanent yellowish stain on the liner). Cucumbers did OK and didn't leak (wow) but I prefer a hard container for juicy fruits and veggies. Pretzels stay fresh for the day but get a bit stale if left in the bag for a few days. Sandwiches do great and don't dry out.
Before the first use I cold washed in a lingerie bag on delicate and air dried. Mostly I just flip the liner inside out and wash it with my hand-washable dishes (I leave the outside cloth dry and the liner dries quite quickly). They clean up quick and easy.
I contacted the company to inquire about the material used. They were very friendly, informative and actually conducted their own testing with an outside lab. The lining is BPA, PVC, and phthalate free. Nice to know that they didn't take the word of the fabric manufacturer and did their own testing.
Since purchasing these lunch bags I have gotten one of their larger bags also. We use it for our wet swimsuits and it works wonderfully for keeping the wetness contained. Everything else in the gym bag stays dry.
All-in-all they are a bit expensive but I have gotten much more use out of them than I expected. I would certainly recommend them.

Nuby 2-Pack Nibbler Review

(More customer reviews)My daughter got this from my mother and at first she wanted nothing to do with it, screamed every time it got near her mouth so my husband & I figured she didn't like it and put it away. Fast forward about 2 weeks and we were desperate one night while fixing dinner so I pulled it out and tried it again, she was more accepting of it this time and once she figured out food came out of it she loved it. The best things I've found with it (so far) is strawberries w/ seeds cut off & bread/ bagel pieces to suck/ chew on without fear of choking. One cavaet: DO NOT use with bananas it is a pain to clean off, I eventually had to watch the mesh twice then soak it in very diluted bleach and finally wash it again to get it clean.
I like the construction of the Nuby better then either Munchkin or Sassy feeders. In my opinion the mesh is finer but yet easier to ger something out of, it's easier to clean & the twist/ turn method is better then then the 'snap' close of the others. It's great for them on chew & suck on to get new flavors but I wouldn't use it for true teething purposes, the mesh can irritate already sore gums (which may have been our problem at first) and it can wear down over time so you'll have to replace it quicker.

Glass Baby Food Containers with Multi Lid Colors Review

(More customer reviews)I searched so long and hard for small (4 oz or so), glass, leak-proof containers. My toddler has food allergies so I am always packing food whenever we go out to eat or to playgroup, etc. These are the perfect size to pack some hummus, applesauce, peanut butter, etc. without having to buy single serve packages (which then you toss in the trash if they don't eat all of it). My daughter is also the only one in the family to eat avocado and I try to give her some every day, but we cannot manage to eat one before they look brown and disgusting. So, I freeze the extra right as I cut it into these containers then pull out one a day to eat.
The lids are very easy to take on and off. I also use a lot of glasslock storage and find those can be difficult sometimes to seal. These are much easier.
I absolutely love these things but it's too bad they are so expensive. I could have never used them for baby food without breaking the bank, but they are super handy to have around. They would be great for adults too, a serving of salad dressing would fit well as well as dips for vegetables, etc. Lots of uses.
I am hoping to buy another set soon. Having about 8 on hand would be perfect for our needs. Love them! I'm so glad I finally found exactly what I was looking for!

BabySteps Healthy Snack Feeder Kit Review

(More customer reviews)After several months of use and following instructions for care/cleaning, the mesh bag started to slip out of the handle while my baby was holding and chewing on it -- which allowed the food to come out of the bag -- which my baby could then have choked on -- which misses the whole point of using this thing in the first place. Also the rubber letters on the handle (that spell "BabySteps") started to peel off in little pieces! I don't want my baby eating that...
