I don't know what about it, but it came on suddenly after eating so it couldn't have been what I had for breakfast (toast and jam). It was tasty enough, though some pasta or rice would should have been added, it was quite watery and not very much crab at all, though you could smell it, you couldn't see it.

(More customer reviews)I've had ROKEACH Cabbage Soup, (10.5-ounce cans), since I was very little. It is very, very, VERY good. In fact, if you like cabbage in away way at all, (raw, cole slaw, etc), I can almost guarantee that you will totally love this stuff!
It has just the right combination of sweetness and tartness. It feels and tastes like home-made. I haven't had it in a long time, but I do think I remember that this is CONDENSED cabbage soup, though it doesn't say so on the label. I'm not sure about this....but I DO remember how very, very good it tastes. I am glad I seem to have gotten the last case of 12 here on Amazon. I hope that it is re-stocked, soon, so that I -- and other happy cabbage soup lovers -- can again imbibe this wonderful, tasty and nutritious Rokeach Cabbage Soup! : ),

(More customer reviews)This base has a very good flavor, but you can easily add too much and have your dish come out salty.
I like to cook brown rice in stock and herbs. I can get "Better Than Bouillon" at the store but I am always looking for a less expensive alternative.
I would use this product again, but I would go to the extra trouble of boiling some water and adding the base to taste and then using it in my dish, as opposed to just adding a teaspoon or tablespoon, and not really paying attention.

(More customer reviews)I have pretty much been living on Amy's food for about 8 years now, when I can't eat fresh or am too lazy to cook from scratch. The Berliner family (Amy's Mom and Dad) has done the world a major service in proving that frozen and canned food can be truly healthy. (Please stay private! Going public and thinking mainly of profits will ruin the food, no doubt.)
Their pesto pizza is so good it's ridiculous. I've eaten about a thousand of those, maybe two. All their products are hand-made from organic ingredients, and the prices are more than fair considering the quality.
I love Thai food, especially Tom Kha and green curry (hint hint, Miss Amy!). This soup holds up well to some of the better TKs I've had in good Thai restaurants. It is spicy but not overwhelming, creamy but not too thick, and in general simply dang yummy!! Easily the best canned Thai soup I've ever had (except for Satay soups, made by Austin's wonderful Foo Swasdee, but sadly her canned food biz stopped a while back (her restaurants are still here, though, and still great. Foo is a wonderful lady!)).
Good Thai chow is almost everything I want from food: nutritious and healthy and extremely tasty, with many flavors complementing but not overwhelming each other. This soup is all that.
And as always with organic food, by buying this not only are you getting the healthiest food, you're helping support people who care about the health of our planet, and not supporting people who don't.
Many thanks to the Berliner family for making the best pre-packaged food on the planet.
I could live on this stuff.

(More customer reviews)I really was shocked to see directions using 1/2 gallon of milk, and 1 1/2 gallons of water. Another instance of not enough information to help me know what I was buying. I thought there would be quantities for family use. At least the can will store what is not used. Let's see if I use 2 cups of milk and 6 cups of water how much of the mix do I use? Then there is a recipe on the can for tomato bisque soup that adds heavy cream to figure out... It is a good thing I like math.

(More customer reviews)Wow, this is good soup! At first sip, it reminded me of Campbells, but it's not quite as sweet, is more tomato-ey, and is richer because of the butter. It's addictive, especially because it's so quick to serve (no struggling to dissolve milk or water into it). I can polish off a whole can just as a snack. I've also mixed in brown rice or whole wheat pasta for a healthy feast. Great stuff!!

The package says you can add optional extras like ham or broccoli or corn, but even just adding water, it is tasty, flavorful, and interesting. Do NOT be tempted to add milk or cream--this is thick and rich tasting with just water. Two thumbs up from even our picky eaters.

(More customer reviews)I can't stop eating this soup mix! It's super-healthy and makes a sizable pot of soup. I just make up 1/2 of the bag and store it in the fridge, but it would make a good dinner for a family of 8-10. I especially like that the seasoning packet is separate, so you can make it as spicy or mild, as you'd prefer.
It's great by itself, or you can add ground turkey or chicken. (Or you could add a spicy andouille sausage and laissez les bon temps roulez!)

I haven't found anything nearly as good, and I've tried a lot of soups. I contacted general mills, and they say this product has been discontinued. Too bad.
Still available in inconvenient, hard to find, expensive big cans.

The sale price of $20.81 still makes it a bit more than a mid-level supermarket in NYC (which is probably pretty pricey compared to other cities). This soup is so flavorful that served plain I feel like I am indulging. Also makes a really good substitute for chicken broth for when I cook my pot roast. Sodium (25% of daily allowance) is not a concern for me, although it could be for others.

(More customer reviews)The photo shows potato and carrot pieces in the butternut squash base but upon opening a can, there are no potato or carrot pieces to be found, unlike the cans I've bought from a local grocery store. I guess this must be a change in Wolfgang Puck's recipe but the photo on the can does not represent the contents anymore. Several cans out of the twelve pack were delivered dented, although none seriously. Packing with better filling could have prevented dents in transit.

(More customer reviews)All of Manischewitz's "tube" soup mixes, (so called because they coem in celephane tubes), are a good value for the money. They taste great, and are truly THE most condensed of soups -- ONLY the dry ingredients are given, you add your own liquid, and thus save money, (not paying for water, as in other "condensed" soups), saving room in your pantry, and NOT having to put unopened packages in the refrigerator or freezer, thus saving valuable space there.
I chose the Manischewitz Vegetable Cello Soup with Mushrooms, 6 ounce tubs, (Pack of 24), because I happen to LIKE mushrooms -- a lot. But the interesting thing with all the tube soups offered by Manischewitz, is that they DO NOT contain an undue amount of salt! One would think that an uncanned soup WOULD contain a LOT of salt, but this is not the case here. Manischewitz obviously puts great faith in the protective power of cellophane, plastic wrappers -- and, thus, so should the customer!
This is very tasty soup, which can be used as a complete soup, or as a soup base.
It is very inexpensive, because, as mentioned, you are NOT paying for water.
Make this -- and all other Manischewitz "tube" soups -- according to the directions, add your own ingredients if desired, and enjoy! The money, pantry space, and refrigerator space,you will be saving, will make this delicious soup taste even better! Enjoy - and I hope to see this, and other Manischewitz "tube" soups return to Amazon, very, very soon!
