(More customer reviews)I was very skeptical when I bought this product, but I hate to slice tomatoes and so I figured I'd give it a chance. I had hoped the slicer would work as advertised, but I suspected it would actually squash the tomato and make a mess. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it works wonderfully. The slices are uniform,the tomato retains its shape, and even the small amount of juice is contained within the slicer. You don't even have to take out a cutting board or wipe the counter afterward. I couldn't be more pleased with this product, and I highly recommend it. Just be careful when cleaning. It's very sharp!

(More customer reviews)It's about time! I have been wanting this for a long time. This slicer is nice and sturdy. It has blades, not wires!
I have been wanting something to slice mushrooms with. It always seemed logical to me that an egg slicer should be able to slice mushrooms, as well. I would buy egg slicers at the store only to have them break on me with the very first use. I never had even one make a mark on a mushroom. A mushroom! We aren't talking about rocks here. I can't imagine any of those pieces of junk cutting eggs either.
I ordered this one and I am happy! It is good and solid- metal with blades! It is much bigger than the grocery store garbage, too.
Did I mention that it has blades?!
I look forward to many years of service from this gadget.

OXO Good Grips Egg Slicer and Chopper Review

(More customer reviews)I use this for hardboiled eggs AND mushrooms. It makes perfectly sliced mushrooms for easy sauteeing. It takes a few mushrooms to get the hang of it, but once you figure it out it is so much faster than slicing by hand!
It does a wonderful job on eggs and with the rotation option, you can make perfect egg salad in no time at all. A real bonus is the removable grid, it scrapes out all the bits left behind in the teeth so you can just lift it out and rinse it off.
A real time saver that feels sturdy and well built. I expect to use this fo r years to come. Love OXO products, I haven't had a bad one yet!
