(More customer reviews)This is one of my favorite Tasty Bite entrées. It is spicy hot, but not at all too hot, with a noticeable "curry" flavor. The addition of the cashews makes for a nice flavor note (although I could do without the whole chile pod). I take mine in a mug with a pat of butter floating on top for a just-before-bed stomach warmer, but you could easily pour it over rice for a quick, easy, and tasty lunch, far more nutritious than a bowl of instant noodles. By the way, the combination of puréed greens and green peas is a terrific idea. I'd give this five stars if the peas weren't a little too redolent of the can. And, with the free shipping, this is a terrific price.

(More customer reviews)We are from the UK and we cannot but these peas here in USA, Thank God this seller has them. We but 8 at a time and will continue to do so as long as they sell them. Bigger than your average pea, the water inside is slightly flavoured with mint. A real treat.

(More customer reviews)My son doesn't like peas. I've tried feeding him the Gerber Organic peas and he dodges the spoon. So since all of sprouts food is good, I thought - hey, I'm sure Tyler Florence's peas are better than Gerber. Boy was I wrong! It started when I first opened the bag - it smells absolutely horrible and the color is a yucky brownish green. So I warmed it up and sampled it before giving to my son. OMG, I almost had to wipe it off of my tounge. It is really really bad, and that is about the kindest thing I can say about this pea/greenbean/mint mix. I tried to give it to my son and his reaction was as bad as mine. I just coulnd't force feed him somethign I couldn't stomach myself. So far all other Sprout flavors are 5 stars, but leave this one on the shelf - - - it is BAD!

(More customer reviews)Note: These are not like fresh peas. If that is what you were hoping for you will be sadly disappointed. Canned food in general is much softer than fresh and the colors fade over time- think pale green. That being said, these peas are, IMO, a really good substitute and great pantry staple. The peas are small but quite sweet and wonderfully refreshing if chilled, no salt or sugar needed. In fact, I have eaten them straight out of the can and prefer them this way since they are delicate and too much cooking may break them down to mush. Food possibilities? ...Think pilaf (there's a recipe on the can) or pasta salads. You really can't go wrong with the low price. I know these are not organic and I'm not sure about the origin of the cans, but they don't taste metallic like other vegetables I have tried. In fact, I've even used the water from the can. One caveat: I ordered these with the Subscribe & Save option and many cans were dented. This hasn't affected the taste or product as far as I can tell but I don't appreciate it Amazon!
Nutrition: 60 calories, 1% sodium, Vitamin C 20% 4g protein per 1/2 cup serving.
