Mirro Foley 2-Quart Stainless Steel Food Mill Review

(More customer reviews)I replaced my original 35 year old Foley Mill with the new model. On the plus side, it is greatly improved by the fact it is now made in stainless stain. On the minus side, the handle is no longer solid but rather an "open" handle and I find it now difficult to hold. If the new handle would not be a problem for anyone else, than I would give it 5 stars.

They are the PERFECT size for appetizers, ice, petits fours, bonbons, chocolate truffles, olives, baby dill pickles, etc., I even used them for tossing shaved roast beef in a skillet for a cheese steak sandwich. The best things about these tongs...they are attractive & have short handles that make them perfect for appetizers in small dishes & plates, rather than the over-powering handles (of most tongs) that seem out of place. I would highly recommend these for anyone that entertains...be it small or large groups, or to anyone that just likes things to be...just so!!

It swivels slightly & the tip for removing potato eyes is plastic, so you won't cut yourself if trying to use it to peel jicama. I know most people would use a paring knife for that, but I have poor knife skills. On hard things like jicama, I can hold the tip for leverage. Awesome peeler!
