I find salads are generally healthy, but not that easy to eat. This is the solution...This may sound odd, but it makes every salad taste better.

(More customer reviews)We use a lot of garlic on a daily basis in most of our dinners. This was a cute gadget we got for a gift, and I was curious to see if it worked better then my other garlic chopping methods.
For a REALLY big lot of garlic, I use my Ninja Food Master Prep. Otherwise for everyday cooking, depending on the size I need the garlic, I will either use a microplane which is fast and efficient, or a good sharp knife. I personally like to do chopping and prep work, so I didn't neccessarily need a "garlic gadget".
While this item works fine, it only does a couple cloves at a time, and seems like a total pain to scrap out over and over. If it was larger, it would make sense. It might be a nice accessory to have for someone who only likes a hint of gasrlic, but for the garlic lover, look elsewhere.

OXO Good Grips Salad Chopper and Bowl Review

(More customer reviews)I was very excited to receive this bowl and couldn't wait to put it to use. The bowl is very large size, you can't really tell from the product picture. It is a good size salad bowl. The chopper looks like a double pizza cutter. It works very well. The bowl is large enough to fix a good size salad and still have enough room to work with without spilling over.
You just fill the bowl with salad ingredients. I put in a whole gallon bag of lettuce, whole boiled eggs, slices of cheese and onions. Then proceeded to roll the chopper around the bowl. Depending on how long you chop, it will chop the ingredients pretty small. I thought that it was too much. I thought it wouldn't make an appetizing salad. Boy, was I wrong. It was delicious and easy to eat. I took the leftover salad this morning and filled a pita pocket with it. Perfect. I'm going to fix my salad with this everytime.
And just a hint from me, if you don't think you like your lettuce cut up that much, just put the other ingredients in the bowl first, chop away, and then add the lettuce last and chop a few more times.

Cutco Cutlery Vegetable Knife Like New Review

(More customer reviews)I'm not a chef of any kind. In fact, I'm more of a baker. That being said, sometimes I have to chop or slice things. That is about the extent of my expertise.
We have a wide variety of knives here, all bought at different times, used for different purposes. When a recipe calls for chopping up vegetables, however, this knife is sought out. It is sharp (I've had it for over a year and still feels as sharp as the day I got it). Another person, who is very good with knives, actually sliced her finger open pretty badly (or good, depending on how you look at it). She was very impressed with this knife when that happened - she's also paid closer attention when using it. Yes, I did warn her the knife was very sharp *before* she used it. It shines most when trying to cut up very tough vegetables, like acorn squash. I didn't know that I could bake it before cutting it open, so I just had at it with this knife and with a little caution and elbow grease, got the squash open. I later told someone about it and they balked at me with gaping eyes, as if opening an acorn squash shouldn't be humanly possibly unless it's baked.
Amazon prices are a bit exaggerated, as the other reviewer states. No worries! This is the internet. If you know where to look to buy stuff, you'll find this item for a little bit less.

(More customer reviews)Bought this. First time out of box, couldn't even cut an onion. I had the correct holding plate and blade installed correct side up. Quartered a normal yellow onion, and the machine crushed it instead of cutting it. I could get it to work with the larger grate if I literally put all my body weight on top of it. Piece of junk. I will be returning it.
