(More customer reviews)I love a good paring knife. A good paring knife is worth it's weight in gold to me. I have one that I always turn to when I want to do the job well, but I yearned for another sharper one. Well, this Christmas, I got my wish in the form of this set of Rada knives from my SIL. They are sharp and cut through potatoes with great ease.
I have only used them one time so far, but I am impressed. I washed both of them by hand, and hand dried them, putting them back in the original box. I'm not a fan of the handles, because I'm sure they won't stay as pretty as they are right now, but I'm hopeful that the blades will retain their original sharpness by keeping them in the box, and never putting them in the dishwasher.
I have bought countless paring knives over the years, and this one is the best I have ever used.

(More customer reviews)When I was growing up in the 50's/60's, every cook had a granny fork. When my mom passed, somehow I didn't get The Fork. The tines on this baby are really sharp, so I wouldn't get near non-stick with it, but it's fine with cast iron. Love it for lightly beating eggs, testing taters for doneness and removing them from the pot, turning pork chops, all the stuff my granny and mom used it for. Really nice price for a nostalgic and versatile utensil! (I even eat with mine, but ya gotta watch those sharp tines. You could get hurt.)

(More customer reviews)These knives are sharp. I have both the serrated and non serrated steak knives. They are the best value of cheap, quality steak knives I have found. The only reason it did not receive 5 stars is I wish the handles were a little bit bigger. Even with my small hands, my pinky finger is right on the edge. The handle could also be a little thicker for more comfort. Overall, I love them and they are dishwasher safe. A word of advise: It's cheaper to buy 3 packs of 2 rather than the six pack.

I love the fact that they are made right here in the United States by a well-established company. They have a Life-Time guarantee. And they are a GREAT PRODUCT FOR THE MONEY! The blades are as good as any of the Swiss or German manufacturer knives.
Be sure and get the Rada Knife Sharpener when you order. Although the Rada knives have been holding their edges very nicely so far, I have salvaged other knives in our kitchen with their great little easy-to-use sharpener!
I have not placed these in the dishwasher yet. We usually handwash all our cutting knives, so these are no different. But I do not have to worry if the kids are visiting and one or more of these get into the dishwasher inadvertantly (which is why I opted for the black handles instead of the silver ones available).
They do not have "heft" to them, but handle nicely (in my opinion) and cut divinely! This is a great little set for a housewarming or other gift also, so many people make-do with inferior knives that it would be a welcome addition to any home.

I saw this new Rada spatula at a local craft show. As with other Rada items, I bought this piece online and was greatly pleased when it arrived. I used it to remove some gooey bar cookies from the pan - it worked just as well as I had hoped it would. The angle of the handle is just right to allow the server to maneuver the spatula under the baked good and then lift it neatly out of the pan. You definitely won't regret purchasing this little spatula.

(More customer reviews)These are truly very sharp, good working knives. I was so happy with the tomato knife that I bought a 2nd one, the steak knife set, and the carving knife. Love them all, except: Just be aware that (now that I've had them for several months) the handles are brushed aluminum which gives a good offsetting weight in the hand, however, the shiny silver color turns dingey gray. If you don't mind that-especially bec now they don't match the silver color of the blade, then they are a great buy. I would give 5 stars if they didn't discolor. NOTE: I NEVER ONCE PUT THEM IN THE DISHWASHER.

(More customer reviews)This is a very high quality piece of kitchenware, and I feel that it's definitely worth spending the few extra bucks vs. the cheaper versions that are available at most chain stores.
Previous to owning this product, I had gone through many pizza cutters of several different designs. Two of my previous cutters were similar in design to this item and each had fallen apart after about a couple of months of use. This product has lasted me about 3 years, and it bears no signs of imminent and/or catastrophic failure.
What led me to buy this product is that I received one of Rada's steak knifes as a promotional gift, and I was very, very impressed with the sharpness and look of the cutlery, so I ended up buying several sets of knives, and then later purchased several other Rada offerings, this pizza cutter included.
Some users have described issues with the brushed aluminum handle coating suffering discoloration following repeated uses and dishwasher runs over a long period of time. I've owned this piece for about 3 years, and have run it through at least 50 dishwasher cycles (at LEAST), and I haven't noticed any discoloration over time. However, this is only my personal experience (as a grad student who consumes a lot of pizza and doesn't wash things by hand if not necessary[as opposed to the dishwasher]). Maybe Rada will introduce a black handle version in the future for those of you with concerns...

This set of Rada knives is made in Iowa, and has a knife or tool for almost any task the ordinary cook will face. It feels a little light in the hand at first because the handle is aluminum but the balance is right on. The handle also has a "brushed" finish which helps with the grip
I would definitely recommend this set, and also the "steel wheels" sharpener, which really simplifies a task I've always had difficulty with.
It is shipped in a box that is nice for gift giving and storage.

Was trying to cut up some steak into small pieces for my dogs...unable to "saw" through the meat with my big old serrated steak knives...got out this little paring knife and voila!!! It cut through the meat like it was butter and the meat was cold also! Just watch out...all this wonderful knives are extremely sharp! Handwash them and dry right away. I have owned this one and the tomato slicer for over a year and no discoloration at all. I just ordered the serrated pie slicer and also the meat cutting set. I am happy these are made in the USA also...much, much better quality and the price is very affordable!

My husband is the carver in our family and he loves this knife. It is light weight, will not take up the room that the electric knife does and slices like "buttah". He prefers it over the electric knife. And we, like Alton Brown, don't like unitaskers. It is less unwieldy as well & no fuss. The handle has a satin finish to it, so there is a texture. It is inexpensive enough so that if it doesn't last (which I don't see why it wouldn't) that we could replace it easily. I bought the steak knives and 2 tomato slicers and like them a lot.
