As long as you use this product right away, it's fine. I have used it on numerous outdoor and indoor plants with success. A word of warning: Do not mix up a batch of this and attempt to store it. The mixture will turn rancid within a week and at that point it smells like raw sewage. Whatever you mix up you need to use immediately.

I use this in conjunction with Bloodmeal and Bonemeal and the combination makes my vegetables taste better than store bought stuff. Azomite is also good for rescueing depleted soils and diseased plants. My pine trees came back for chemical induced Pine Blight. My old neighbor liked to have ChemLawn TruGreen spray her entire yard and the blow off messed up all my trees. She no longer lives there and my new neighbors don't use that company.

A to Z Minerals- A Complete Organic Fertilizer A Source of Minerals & Trace Elements Azomite is the name of a special rock in Utah. Early this century geological prospector Rollin Anderson found deposits of montmorillonite clay in a valley south of Salt Lake City. U.S. Bureau of Mines analysis showed the clay is similar to Chilean/Peruvian caliche rocks from which much of the world's nitrate was mined. Anderson ground montmorillonite as fine as possible, then put it in his garden. Results were amazing and nearly immediate. Minerals in Azomite are necessary to optimal metabolism in living things. Ground to dust, minerals are small enough to pass through cell walls of organisms.

Green Light 15008 Tomato Bloom - 8 oz Spray Review

Green Light 15008 Tomato Bloom - 8 oz Spray

I am a container gardener. My apartment patio has north facing light. This is my second year container gardening. Last year most of my tomatoes did not produce at all. This year I was desperate to enjoy "the fruits of my labor." About a month ago, I stumbled across this Green Light Organic Tomato Bloom Spray at my local Fred Meyer. I was really sceptical at first but I was desperate so decided to buy it and return it if it didn't work. I applied the product as instructed on the bottle and by the next morning my tomato blossoms had fruited! I waited a couple weeks and sprayed the new blossoms and the next morning, once again, the blossoms that I had sprayed the night before had fruited. I now have over 40 Roma's growing in one pot where as at this time last year I had tons of blossoms but none of my romas ever produced a single fruit. This product works.

I've been buying this for years. If you've ever used Miracle Gro in your garden or on your shrubs, you know how fast and strong they become, and this works just as well on your houseplants. You can use a small amount each time you water, or a bit more once a month, either way you'll get great results. I've tried other products, but this is the best I've found. I recommend this inexpensive and effective product.

Easy to dispense and actually does work over a period of three months.I can see the difference in my roses after the first rain. Leaves are greener and the amount of blooms this year are nearly doubled. With over a hundred rose bushes to fertilize the cost is reasonable and beats the daily fertilizers.

Jobe's 6005 18-Pack Tomato Outdoor Fertilizer Food Spikes Review

Jobe's 6005 18-Pack Tomato Outdoor Fertilizer Food Spikes
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've been an avid gardener for many years and have been using these tomato spikes almost that long. These fertilizer spikes are a good way to add nutrients to your plants as they usually last for most of the gardening summer (at least where I've lived in California and Arizona) and once in place, you don't need to worry about having to fertilize the plants any more.
I *plant* them at the same time I put the tomato transplants in the garden -- at least two and sometimes three or four spikes per plant. Because of the high amount of Phosphate (24) in these spikes (the middle number of the fertilizer breakdown of 8-24-8) the plants produce lots and lots of flowers which means lots and lots of tomatoes.
A few years ago I started using them on bell pepper plants, also. Same result: lots and lots of flowers and lots and lots of peppers. IMHO, most fertilizers that stress Phosphate and don't have so much Nitrogen in them (the first 8 in the above formula) will probably produce the same result, but it's the convenience of the spikes that make this product really worth buying.
They seem to be so popular that they fly off the shelves as soon as they are made available when the weather warms up, and if I don't buy them as soon as I see them, they're gone right away. So I started buying on-line so I'll have them when I need them. You might check the gardening sites also for better pricing and cheaper shipping. I just ordered several packs.

This plant food will help your plants grow and get lots of green. However, if you are looking for blooms, once your plants get more mature, you will do better to cut the nitrogen and get more phosphorus.
Miracle Gro Bloom Booster is the right formulation to feed already grown plants to get them to bloom often and with large blooms.
I use both foods, but at different times of the year.
The labels of each will give you the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potash.

Miracle-Gro 2000421 Tomato Plant Food - 1.5 Pound Review

Miracle-Gro 2000421 Tomato Plant Food - 1.5 Pound
Average Reviews:

REVISION: Below I said to stop using Nitrogen later in the season, but I have had to adapt that recommendation. Over the last two years, early blight has stricken tomatoes nation wide, including places where it was relatively rare like New England. Entire farms have been wiped out, especially organic farms.
Early blight can be treated with a fungicide, but you need new stem and leaf growth to compensate for the leaves and stems lost to blight. You will have a smaller crop at the end, but losing the plant will result in many fewer tomatoes.
I found after several of my plants succumed to blight (no tomatoes, a couple of branches of leaves, etc.) that providing the rest a good dose of late season nitrogen helped them enormously.
So, I would suggest now, until the early blight has run its course (maybe never) you should use Miracle Grow Tomato Plant Fool all season and don't try to overinduce the flowering and yield of your tomatoe plants. Two live healthy plants with average yield are way better than one dead one killed off by blight.

--------------------------------------------------
I always plant with manure (raked into the soil, about one 25 pound bag of dehydrated manure per 10 plants, about 2 feet apart and spaced 3 feet per row) and some fresh garden top soil (just placed in the hole where the plant is, not throughout the garden).
If you remember, it is good to mix in lime as well about a month or so before you put the tomatoes in the ground. It helps by providing calcium to the plants and helps prevent blossom end rot. Although, I rarely have had any problem with that here, it can depend on your soil, so better safe than sorry. If you forget, don't worry, things will work fine without it for the most part.
I plant the tomatoes deep, relative to the size of the plant. 1/3 down into the soil or more depending on the size. Before I do I place fresh garden top soil in the hole and water it. Then I place the plant firmly in the muddy mixture and surround it with more fresh garden top soil. I have not found that different brands of gardening soil are better, so any cheap bag at your local gardening shop will do. I have never lost a plant doing this. People talk about other ideas like using 80 degree water to water the plants or using special techniques to keep from hurting the plants. But I have never used any technique like this. Hose water is fine as is rain water.
I do not fertilize my tomatoes until a couple of weeks have passed and they have rooted and grown a bit. I let the manure, new garden soil and lime do the job.
After that, every two weeks, I apply Miracle Gro, and when I do, the plants are more vigorous, grow faster and I have fewer problems with the plants such as discolorations of the leaves or bug infestations. I have heard numerous folks say to use less or more than the directions, but you know, the 1 Table Spoon per Gallon of water always has worked for me. About a gallon for every three plants when they are young. A bit more when they get to be 2 feet or more. The box does twenty plants for the period of the season I use it.
I use a bucket or watering can for mixing. I have not had good luck with the automatic dispensers attach to the end of the hose and it seems to waste fertilizer. But your mileage may vary.
When the plants first start to show fruit and have reached about 3 feet, I stop using Miracle Gro and switch to a no-nitrogen fertilizer. I find that by the time the plants are 3 feet tall, their root growth is fantastic and their leaf production is strong, so I want to focus on flowering and fruit production. Something that reads 0-10-10 or even higher is fine. Just absolutely no nitrogen.
I have tried other fertilizers for my plants. Nothing has worked better than Miracle Gro and some brands seemed to not work at all. I have always been satisfied with Miracle Gro and stick to it for great tomatoes and strong plants.

I've only been gardening for a few years, and this is the first fertilizer I ever used. A few days after applying this product, all of my "struggling" garden plants seemed to get over their iffy stage and just took off. I have a very finicky ivy geranium in particular that was struggling for a year and now it's gorgeous. I went to the nursery recently for more fertilizer advice and they told me not to use miracle gro because it's full of unnatural chemicals, and gave my an organic dry fertilizer instead. I've definitely noticed that my plants had fewer blooms and growth with the new fertilizer, so I switched back and couldn't be happier. But minus one star for it's chemically-ness.
