(More customer reviews)This is a nice product - it's heavier & larger than I would have expected, but it is simple to use.
It juices pretty much everything, and the pulp that is left over is really quite dry - more so than a lot of the centrifugal juicers I have used.
I went for this model over some of the others because I wanted something that was a little more multipurpose. So far I have made several batches of pasta with it - really rather good too!
Cleaning is straightforward, there's not that many nooks & crannies to get worked up about, the screen cleans easily with any soft brush, the toothbrush supplied is good enough.
In all there's the outer housing for the auger, the auger itself, the screen and the end cap & nozzle. These parts have all made it through the dishwasher - the screen is the only piece you really need to do by hand... the other bits all seem to come perfectly clean with a good rinse in hot water (after juicing, anyway).
The auger does it's job nicely, the motor seems to be suitably powerful.
About as loud as a regular food processor.
The only thing I would say is that perhaps the buttons should be sealed.
The instruction manual is simplistic, but there are a wealth of recipes available elsewhere.

Pacific Natural Foods Soup, Creamy Roasted Carrot, 16-Ounce Carton (Pack of 12) Review

(More customer reviews)I didn't know if I would like roast carrot soup - sounded a little iffy - but I love the roast pepper tomato and so I thought I would give it a try. Glad I did. It is my new favorite - I am afraid if I go on drinking it at this rate I will turn orange.
I bought a case of the carrot cashew ginger variety too - it is good, even very good, but the roast carrot is better. I add some MTR Rassam* curry powder to it, because I add MTR Rassam curry powder to just about every thing I eat, but it is good without it too.
The only thing is - beware, these are 16-ounce boxes. I had only ever seen the larger 32-ounce size before and did not think clearly when I ordered case after case, thinking I was getting a great deal. At 27 bucks a case this is no steal. It is more than I would pay at Trader Joe's for their brand, which is also good - although I have never had their carrot. It works out to about 2.25 a box, which is one serving as far as I am concerned. That is more than I like to pay but the ingredients are high quality and I will be getting more of the roast carrot variety.
(N.b. a case of MTR Rassam curry powder is a LOT of curry powder, it's great stuff but I am under pressure to get through it.)

(More customer reviews)A year or two ago, this product was available at a local wholesale club in a large plastic jug kind of a container that must have held the equivalent of 4 to 6 of these little jars. I started using it then, and found it to be very tasty, easy to fix, and healthful. When cooked with some canned chicken broth, it is unbeatable for flavor and cooking ease. The tidbits of carrots and other vegetables are a delicious blend with the rice products. I only wish the local wholesale club still carried it. These little 16 oz. jars don't last long enough.

(More customer reviews)Organic freeze-dried corn is a wonderful snack. I eat it instead of tortilla chips. Organic freeze dried corn tastes great and I usually eat it right out of the bag.
Organic freeze dried corn has a light, airy texture that practically melts in your mouth. It has a fresh taste that reminds me of sweet corn right from the garden.
Freeze-dried corn can also be added to your favorite recipes. And it will remain fresh when stored for long periods of time.
But Sensible Foods Organic Sweet Corn, at several dollars for 0.75-Ounce, is way overpriced.
Check out "Organic Just Corn" by a company called Just Tomatoes. Amazon sells it now. The product is just as good as this one and you get about 5 times as much for the price. The quality is as good or better IMO.
Another option is Now Food Non-GMO Freeze Dried Corn -- but that is not organic. It tastes great, but I prefer organic.
