10" Fabric Pond-Pot Review

10 Fabric Pond-Pot

These pots are very sturdy. I use the 15 gallon size to grow potatoes in. The 10" pot is great for herbs. They are lightweight and very simple to use. They look attractive in my yard. My yard is slightly sloped but these adapt to the slope where a hard container would not. When I'm finished using them they fold up and store away very easily. The plants roots are aerated and this pot has good drainage. They are a great value as well. [...]Gardener's supply sells the 15 gallon size under the name "potato bin". I personally could care less if the seam is white. It's not that noticeable IMHO.

Just love these fabric pots! You can roll down the sides to get the height that you want. I turned mine inside out so that the white stitching on one side seam and the bottom wouldn't show, although now I realize that algae and other dirt would cover the white stitching on the seams anyway.... These are very nice; they don't leak soil, but of course water is able to flow in and out. They don't float, either.

KENNEBEC Potato - 2 lbs Organic Certified Seed(Tuber) Review

KENNEBEC Potato - 2 lbs Organic Certified Seed(Tuber)
Average Reviews:

The Kennebec seed potatoes arrived looking just like the pictures. I will try to come back and report on the potatoes I grow from them, but wanted to put the initial report here for those who are considering buying. Last time I planted potatoes, another kind, I failed to wait long enough and they were way too small. I'm going to try using more patience this time and hope for better results.
EDITED to come back and say that they are growing beautifully! I planted them in potato bags to make it easier for me to control where they are so I don't lose them. I'm not an experienced potato grower. This is working well for me and my neighbor who is an experienced gardener is impressed with how they are doing.

This short oval potato with smooth pale yellow skin, shallow eyes, and white flesh can be used for fries, hash browns and many other uses even without peeling. Kennebec, one of the best keepers, is resistant to blight and mosaic, late blight, and net necrosis. The heavy yields of dependably large potatoes on most soils makes this a great potato in the North.

Zolushka Potato 50 Seeds - White Skin/White Flesh Review

Zolushka Potato 50 Seeds - White Skin/White Flesh

I bought theses seeds - as well as many others - and they simply did not come up. I followed all instructions given for planting but had zero results. This was true of about 95% of all the seeds that I bought with these seeds. I live in an area where it is in the 60's at night and 80's during the day (year around). I am at 4,800 feet above sea level in the city of Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico. The seeds were started in small cups in potting soil in my greenhouse under a very controlled condition.
The seeds were shipped to my Texas address and brought to my home in my auto. I say this so there is no miss-understanding that they were damaged via x-ray by way of a flight.
It was a waste of time and money.

ZolushkaUntil recently potatoes were grown from mini-tubers confusingly called "seeds". One reason was because plants grown from true seeds (born inside little fruit resembling tiny tomatoes - potato's close cousin) were very irregular in growth from their parents. Now with new hybridizing techniques potatoes can be grown from true seeds just as easily and reliably as tomatoes, peppers or eggplants. True potato seed is a new development offering the advantages of, lower cost than mini-tubers, completely disease free, and always available at the right planting time for gardeners in any region. This is the new wave in potato culture. These white skinned and white flesh tubers make excellent table potatoes. Fairly firm texture when boiled. They are highly recommended for fries and chips. Plants are compact and erect with pointed smooth leaves and; numerous big white flowers with slight reddish purple tinge on backs.

HIC Harold Imports Veggie Scrub Review

Works great. You can use it as a mit to scrub fruit and veggies or you can put small items inside to run through the faucet and gently scrub stuff like grapes, blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. It is a great way to remove pesticides and keep the skin on your fruits and veggies before eating. It is pretty course so you can use it to scrub all the fuzz off your peaches and that layer of wax off your cucumbers. I love it and got 4 more because everyone wants one.

Just three steps to cleaner, healthier vegetables: (1) drop produce in veggie scrub, (2) rub under flowing water then (3) shake to dry. It\'s that easy. Reduce unwanted dirt, wax, pesticides, bacteria and contaminates in three easy steps. For larger produce turn inside out to use as a mitt. The veggie scrub is amazing.

O Organics Whole Kernel Corn, 15 ounce Tins (Pack of 12) Review

O Organics Whole Kernel Corn, 15 ounce Tins (Pack of 12)

I decided to try this corn with no other reviews written for it... so here is my opinion. First off, the 12 pack of corn is on the higher price side of cans of corn. When I can go to my local grocer and pick up a can of normal corn for $.79 or so, this is very expensive comparatively. It is organic and I feel it's worth a premium, but maybe not ~3x the amount.
As far as taste and quality... very, very good. I haven't found any garbage pieces or stems in the cans yet and the corn seems to be of high quality. The taste is excellent and is as good and maybe a little better than Green Giant or the like.
All in all this is an excellent product, it is organic and it's convenient. So, if the price doesn't scare you away, try it.
