(More customer reviews)This is by far one of my favorite kitchen utensils. I can dice, mince, etc. most vegetables so much faster and more evenly with this than I can with a chef's knife. Also, when I chop onions, I cry less with the chopper because the onions stay contained underneath the pastic so the fumes cannot get to my eyes. My only complaint, and it is minor, is that it is a bit tricky to clean. You don't want to just dunk it in water, because it will make the mechanical part rusty, so you have to hold the button down to clean the blade. But this is a very minor issue to me.

The Zyliss Food Chopper quickly cuts up fruit and vegetables in its cup or on a chopping board. Each time you press the plunger, the blade extends, cuts the food, and rotates to a new position. Wipers rotate automatically with the blade, keeping the sides of the cup clean and ensuring that no food is missed. An attractive and innovative time-saver!

Oxo Good Grips Mini Chopper Review

(More customer reviews)I bought my Mom this smaller-sized chopper for nuts, herbs, onions & scallions.
The good news: It chops evenly and efficiently, with a comfy plunging action.
The bad news: you have to take the entire chopper apart in order to clean it properly. There are multiple interior pieces and lots of nooks and crannies where food particles get trapped. And if you miss anything, it will mold in place (yuck.) We regularly needed hot soapy water, a toothbrush and about 10 minutes of scrubbing to clean everything out.
OXO has a deservedly great reputation for kitchen gadgets; this one needs a redesign for simplicity and easier cleaning.

The OXO Good Grips Mini Chopper is smaller and more efficient for fine dicing, so you can make easy work of tasks like chopping garlic. With a simple press of the soft knob, the blades rotate, ensuring even chopping. An internal soft bumper absorbs shock to increase comfort and reduce sound. Chop ingredients in the enclosed cup with its soft, non-slip base, or remove the base and chop directly on a cutting board. A tab rotates within the cup to prevent food from accumulating on the side walls. The entire blade cartridge can be removed from the chopper by simply unscrewing it, so clean up is a breeze. Rails and alignment notches on the blade cartridge make it easy to place back into chopper after cleaning. Best, the chopper is dishwasher safe.
