(More customer reviews)The Sanskriti Methi Malai Motia is the best of the spinach-based retort-packaged meals that I have tried, of any brand. Tonight I made brown basmati rice to serve with it and steamed some slabs of tofu on top of the rice for protein, accompanied by some MTR Mango Green Chili Pickle and some (unfortunately no longer available on Amazon) MTR Coriander Leaves Pickle.
The Methi Malai Motia has a nice creaminess and a very complex flavor with a mild spiciness and perhaps a very slight bitterness to balance out the creaminess. There is a good bid of fenugreek and the corn has a pleasantly chewy texture that contrasts with the gravy.
This dish is vegetarian but not vegan as it contains cream. It is also heavy in sodium.
The 10.6 oz. (300g) pouch contains three servings in this instance so please adjust the nutrition accordingly if you eat half of it or all of it, as I do.

I always enjoy reading the packages on these meals to set the mood for eating food from the other side of the planet. I particularly noticed the reference to "sweet corns" in the plural, the manufacturer's email address: [...]
"condiments" listed as the last ingredient, and the fact that the machinery used in packaging was "procured from Europe to retain freshness".
Here's hoping Amazon brings back the Sanskriti brand meals.
