(More customer reviews)I returned the Anchor Hocking Lazy Susan because the metal base was so flimsy that it did not support the glass plate and serving pieces. I really like the look of the clear glass, but the wobbly base makes this product virtually unusable!!

(More customer reviews)These dishes are beautiful but they have a couple of real problems.
They are supposed to microwave safe but the problem with them is that the dishes absorb all of the heat while the food stays cold! I have burned myself trying to reheat a cup of coffee - put cup in the microwave in for 1 minute, reached in, grabbed the cup handle and burned my hand. The coffee was lukewarm while the part of the cup not touching the coffee was burning hot. Same with the plates and bowls; any part of the dish not touching the still cool food (which never heats up) is like pulling ceramic out of an oven. Be careful - you WILL burn yourself. We now have to heat food in other dishes and then put it on the plate. And, since the plates absorb the heat not just from the microwave but also from hot food, you will find your hot food cold in no time.
On top of that, they chip if you look at them - not durable. I started out trying to replace them as they chip but have given up. Bought these two years ago to replace an older chipped up set of dishes that we'd had for years. These look just as bad at this point.
Very disappointed in this product. Won't buy Pfaltzgraff again.

I served 1.5 lbs of steamed clams in about 2 cups of broth in this dish and it was perfect. It adds a different shape to the dinner table, with its fairly narrow oval shape - a fantastic departure from round bowls and square casseroles. This dish is a fantastic choice if you enjoy serving family-style dinners.

(More customer reviews)This "Sedona" style 2-quart vegetable/serving bowl by Pfaltzgraff is going to give you years of use with its fantastic dishwasher and microwave safe qualities. The manufacturer claims that it is also oven and freezer safe; but I can't comment on those aspects because I haven't used this bowl to store or cook things in the freezer or my oven.
The design of the bowl is very smart. The interior of the bowl is a warm cream color freckled with blue specks that are all hand painted. This design is nicely complemented by the predominantly warm, earthy tones of the different colored stripes, shapes and colors all around the outside of the bowl. The navy blue areas at the very top and bottom of the outside of the bowl also give the bowl a sharp, smart look. The overall effect certainly does give it that vibrant southwest feel; the design can also go with many contemporary and even modern dining room sets.
This soup or cereal bowl is completely hand painted; that impresses me. There is a five year warranty but with the strength of these bowls I doubt you'll ever need it! When I handle the bowl it feels remarkably sturdy and solid.

I think at this price the quality is really quite good. No, they aren't made in England anymore, but in today's economy I have to be realistic, and if I want the real English stuff it's hundreds of dollars. But this is a lovely and functional bowl.

(More customer reviews)This is like the Napoli salad/pasta dish, only much larger and oval-shaped. Very pretty, fluted edges, Pfaltzgraff quality, a nice addition to the set. I love the Napoli design, but had already started collecting the Pistoulet, and found if you're careful in what pieces you choose they actually go really well together. I like it that the "sameness" is broken up that way, it's more interesting.
