(More customer reviews)Corelle in general is a great value. It's economical, looks great, easy to clean, very resistant to wear and breakage, keeps its appearance for years and years. Also, as a glass-based product, it does not have a scratchy unglazed ring on the bottom, like you find with stoneware. This won't scratch anything.
As for this particular item, the bowls have a very versatile size and shape. It can be used as a serving bowl for a main dish or as a snack bowl for chips and popcorn. The shape makes it easy to grasp and pass around.
I love the color. (Sandstone being a light beige.) It's a nice attractive neutral tone that goes with pretty much anything you already have. It will never go out of style.
Highly recommended.

(More customer reviews)I recieved the sango blue set for my wedding and needed more pieces. If you really like the color blue You'll love this. The color is beautiful. I needed a serving dish. You can use this one for lots of different stuff. It is a bowl but it couold be used a a plater with high sides. It is wide and kind of flat so it has muti-uses. It is truley a must have for anyone who has lots of parties or family dinners.

I served 1.5 lbs of steamed clams in about 2 cups of broth in this dish and it was perfect. It adds a different shape to the dinner table, with its fairly narrow oval shape - a fantastic departure from round bowls and square casseroles. This dish is a fantastic choice if you enjoy serving family-style dinners.

(More customer reviews)These are nice bowls, just the right size for serving veggies with dinner (i.e. if you microwave a bag of frozen corn, you can dump it in the bowl for serving.)
Very safely packed for shipping - however, one of my bowls did have a slight blue mark on the edge (probably a quarter of an inch - I don't think it happened during shipping, as there wasn't anything blue in the box). Not bad enough for me to return it, I'll update the review if I am able to get the mark off using a Magic Eraser sponge, or similar.
