(More customer reviews)This Product 7 37628 005 10 9 has changed if you tried and liked Thai Kitchen's Original Pad Thai Sauce in the first 10 months of 2010. You will find the product in the same jar very different now. A few minor changes to the label may give you a clue of this change ( color strip under the words "Original Pad Thai Sauce" was pink now purple and the list of ingredients has changed. But how many customers have all ingredient lists memorized?) Once you open and taste the sauce you will know it is different. Not bad if you are looking for a sweet and sour sauce much like the one that Trader Joe's discontinued a couple of years ago.
OLD Ingredients: Sugar, tomato, tamarind, Fried Garlic(garlic,soybean oil), Pickled radish (Radish water salt) fish sauce (anchovy extract salt sugar), Modified tapioca starch, water citric acid, soybean oil, extractives of paprika CONTAINS FISH SOYBEAN my jar expires Jan. 19 2012
NEW Ingredients: Sugar, Water, Rice vinegar, salt, tomato, anchovy extract, Radish, Chinese Chives, soybean oil, Garlic,Shallot, Modified tapioca starch, red chili pepper, citric acid, xanthan gum, extractives of paprika CONTAINS ANCHOVY My jar expires Feb 15 2012
These are not the same product and should have a different bar code and name but they don't.
If any one can find an old one I am looking for a supply. Thanks for your assistance.
