(More customer reviews)I bought this product because the gophers in my vegetable garden were chewing the life out of my plants. At one point, most of my vegetable plants barely had any leaves.
I didn't want to give up on the garden after spending time and money on it. I also did not want to harm the gophers but keep them out of my veggies. They also ate the leaves on my miniature rose bushes.
These pellets look just like dirt, the larger pieces resemble brown, earthy pellets. They contain castor oil which on the label reads that it causes no harm to vegetables or animals. They have a strong odor which gophers are believed to terribly dislike
Initially when I had used the product, I happily noticed a decrease in the amount of chewed vegetables and leaves. The gophers seemed repelled by this product and my garden seemed to flourish with growth and health.
I repeated the applications regularly with success.
Suddenly the gophers returned. Hunger is a strong force. I tied bells to the chicken wire surrounding the garden and the noise has them more cautious and less intrusive.
Because this repellent only worked for a short duration, I'm giving it 3 stars.
